Geneablogy: An occasional Journal about our experiences exploring our heritage

My grandfather was a 32nd degree Mason and past master of his lodge, and the evening before his funeral service they had a Masonic service for him, which is why I was particularly interested in this look at Freemasonry today. I like the bit at the end about Masonic body piercing: "’By the time you get to be a 33rd-degree Mason, you’d have so much metal you couldn’t get into an airport.’

"He smiles. ’And of course the 33rd-degree piercing would have to be a very private piercing,’ he says. ’Only 33rd-degree Masons would know where that piercing occurs.’"
