Nice relaxing jail cell type thing

Once upon a time, Sandy Hook housed a military base guarding New York harbor. Some of the emplacements have been left to the elements, and now look a lot like something you would see in the third world. This kind of looks like where that CIA agent was killed in Afghanistan, for example.

Closed Area -- Do Not Enter

Painted green, bolted shut, and closed for good.

Another cell-like structure

Cell living at its finest.

Executive quarters

These once housed officers and gentlemen. Now they're mostly empty. Pity, because they're beautiful. There are two schools of thought on what to do with these. One is to rent them out to non-profit organizations. The other is to let a commercial developer loose on them. I think a commercial developer would tear them down. So does my friend George, who is working to make sure that doesn't happen. He's very good at afflicting the comfortable. No doubt that comes from his years as a reporter.
